Cricket – Making the Bond Stronger Between Countries
Cricket is not only a game it is like the connection between the nations which are not even connected by the land. When a cricket match comes up on the television, no wonders most of the people across the globe forgets the physical boundaries and enjoy the match. It is often seen that even if the homeland is not in the game but people are cheering for the best and the fit team in that series. And one of the biggest examples of this is the Premier Leagues games which involve various players from different teams of the different countries which plays cricket.
Since people are too busy to sit for the whole day and watch an ODI, there are now Twenty20 matches that are getting all the fame and the popularity as they are covered within few hours and tend not to be boring. The test series are almost out of the mind of the people as there is no one now a day who will sit at home to watch a 5 day test series. But still there are people who are hardcore fan of the game who take an off from the office to sit back at home to watch ODIs and also may be a week off for the Test series. The new format of cricket that is Twenty20 matches are based on the concept of having 20overs for each of the team and accordingly the game is been played. The premier leagues are also of the same category and that is why they are so popular these days. But the world cup which comes after every 4 years is still holding the charm and hardly there is any cricket lover who wants to miss the games. Even the people who don’t watch cricket for the whole year, they also sit and watch world cup as it is worth the watch. And here comes the main idea of connecting the nations through a game. Every nation is fighting with each other for becoming the best in the world, for having the highest GDPs and other figures to become the biggest power but when it comes to cricket, the boundaries are erased. You may say that even in the game it is a fight between the teams which goes on but that the charm of the sport and every one is a sportsman on the field forgetting the national boundaries. And so are the people who are watching, if a player from another country is playing well then no one will ever deny that rather he or she will be appreciated. This is the charm of the game and when the game is cricket it looks more charming.
The most apt example which proves that cricket is just not a game but something which crosses the boundaries and touches everyone’s heart is India Pakistan matches. It is not just a match it is a fight between two nations when they are on the ground but no one forgets they are cricketers first. So, when the match is over everyone from both the nation feels emotional at a point of time because of the gestures of the two teams and the cordial behaviour. There is no such hatred between these two countries but hardly anything shows up on the field expect a great game. This is cricket and this is sportsmanship.
There are such instances around the world in various countries and there are epic stories of cricket melting hearts of different people across the borders. And now with the premier leagues the bond is growing stronger and better between the countries across the world.
